Yarn Bombing on Main Street - Art Print

I was driving down Main Street on a crisp fall day in Westminster, Maryland -- September 28, 2017 to be exact. Stopped at the light at Liberty Street I looked to my right and was amazed by the colorful scene I saw. Fall leaves and a school bus were reflected in the windows of the iconic Guilianova's deli. Colorful yarn adorned a tree -- an act of "yarn bombing" that left the tree ready to shed its leaves for winter. I snapped a photo and went on with my day.

When I started painting in 2019, I knew that I wanted to paint this scene and try to capture the memories of that day. Here it is for you, in ink and watercolor. I hope it evokes a feeling of joy and possibilities.
