I love the vibrant and transparent colors of watercolor. So why am I painting with black paint?
Well, I'm learning something new. I'm taking an intensive photoshop course to learn how to import my artwork and then edit the colors digitally. It's a steep learning curve, but already I'm becoming more comfortable with the tools.
This style of painting -- painting elements in black and then collaging them together with different colors and textures -- seems to have endless possibilities.
Will I like it more than my traditional style of painting? Time will tell. In the meantime, I'm going to keep learning, growing, and trying new ideas.
